He currently serves on the advisory board for Cochrane Eyes and Vision, on the NIH National Eye Institute’s Council of Vision Editors, as the American Academy of Ophthalmology’s Secretary for Quality of Care and as the Editor-in-Chief of ARVO Translational Vision Science and Technology.

Dr. Kang currently serves as Associate Medical Director and medical advisory board member of The Eye Bank for Sight Restoration in New York, Vice Chair of the Scientific Committee of the Eye Bank Association of America (EBAA), Vice President of the Eye and Contact Lens Association and member of the Ophthalmic Technology Assessments Refractive Panel of American Academy of Ophthalmology.
